I am going to go more in-depth into my lunch packing ideas and strategies in another post, and I’ll have a fun printable that you can print and use to plan out your lunch packing. I don’t plan my lunches so much as I do theirs. I sometimes eat the same things as they do, or sometimes I will have leftovers or a sandwich, or even sometimes if I’m feeling it, a salad. I may even pre-prep his food while I’m prepping my older son’s lunch, just to save time. I also stay at home with my toddler, and what I do just to make things easier, is I feed him about the same things that my son will be taking to school. We are unsure of whether we will pack lunches indefinitely or buy from school, but for the start, we are packing and I’ve got several ideas saved for lunches. I’d also like to note that my son is starting Kindergarten this month. I love these meal planning printables because they are editable, you can type what you want into the blank fields, or print them out and fill them out by hand! I’ve got these over in the shop in 2 sizes and 3 different color styles to choose from! You can scroll down this post to download these free printables for the month of August- a blank one for you to create your own, plus a pre-filled menu for breakfast and dinner for August! My goal is to do this every month until we have a whole year of meal ideas to mix and match. I’ll have some thoughts and notes along the way about all of the recipes, so be sure to check those out, too. It is full of things that we actually eat. While some of these might not be what everyone likes, they may not meet your family’s dietary needs if there is something specific that you eat or don’t eat, and these may not even meet everyone’s standards of what is “healthy”, I feel like this is a pretty legitimate, real family friendly meal plan. I’ve created a meal plan full of ideas to share with you. The menu planner is now in our Free Printables Archive along with all of our best free prints.Hey guys, I’m so excited to try something new this month with my August Monthly Meal Plan. Grocery Shopping List, Weekly dinner meal planner, monthly meal planner, healthly weekly meal planner (for every meal of the day), and a “recipes to try” planner so you don’t forget the meals your family would love. I’m so happy that I can provide these files to you to make your life easier too! Having this meal planner to print out every week has made life so much easier. Then we were able to get all our shopping done for the week over the weekend. Instead of shopping every day or two for groceries and trying to figure out what I was going to make that morning I planned our meals a week in advance. I was never really able to get a handle on it until I talked with a friend about making a menu plan in advance. Putting myself on a budget meant I had to get our eating out in order which meant I had to figure out how to make time to cook at home after working a full day. One way was getting my finances in order. I mean, it was cooked in my home, so that counts, right?Īnyway, when I was able to get a grip on things I started slowly chipping away at the chaos in my life. A home cooked meal for me at the time was putting a frozen pizza in the oven. For a good year I tried to get my life and schedule in order. I was able to go to the grocery store when they were in school, prep food and cook without as much time stress. When my kids were growing up I was a stay at home mom. There was a time, not too long ago, that meal time used to be a stressful mess for me.
